Ling and Kody - FMA:B

Well, I got bored, wanted to draw Ling Yao since I started watching Brotherhood,and ended up sealing the existence of an OC I've had in the back of my mind for a while, Kody. She's eleven years old, she's blind, and she is attached to Ling x3 She's really shy, but with Ling, she's pretty wild and silly. She trusts him a lot and I shall go ahead and explain it since I'm a spaz

She comes from Amestris, in Central City, actually, but her parents died in the Ishvalan War, her mother a solider and her father a nurse(DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING, HUH?). They knew Roy Mustang, btu only for a few days. They would write letters to Kody and her aunt, who was taking care fo the girl while her parents were away. Kody wasn't blind yet, but her eyesight was fading and slowly, she was having a harder time seeing. Her aunt was readng off the letters to the girl by the time she was ten. Not long after that, they got the letter of Kody's parents' death in the line of duty. Kody was heart-broken. She hid in her room and wouldn't come out of there for weeks after the military's letter. Even though he had only known them for a few days, Colonel Roy Mustang liked Kody's parents, Michelle and Rin. He went to The family's house personally and told Kody's aunt, Donna, that he was sorry for their loss and that he had met the deceased man and woman. Kody finally came out of her room and told the colonel she missed her parents. She asked the state alchemist if he could do soething to brign them back. She knew of alchemy's human transmutations, that humans could be revived somehow. Roy told her it was forbidden to try and that it never worked before then. She didn't argue, but she told Roy that she wanted him to remember her parents. He promised he would and then left. Kody didn't meet him again until she was eleven.
ANYWAY
The thing that makes Ling and Kody buddies is that Kody tried to leave Amestris on horse-back, tried to get to Xing. She had heard it was a nice place and wanted to leave behind her old home. Donna had passed away in her sleep and so Kody left. She managed to convince a friend to help her on the way to Xing since she was blind, but there was a sand-storm and they were seperated. Kody didn't know what else to do, so she kept going. On the brink of exhaustion, thirsty, hungry and tired, Kody was about to give up. But three people from Xing, a woman and two men, found her and brought her back to Amestris. They were on the way there anyway, so they picked up Kody, realizing she was Amestrian(is that how you spell that??). Ling and the girl made a quick bond and then one was barely seen without the other. After they met the Elric brothers, though, Kody broke out of her shell a little and started spending time with Alphonse. She still loves Ling and would do anything for him.

SO, NOW THAT I HAVE WRITTEN HER FREAKIN' BIOGRAPHY, I'M GONNA COMMENT ON SOME OTHER STUFF ABOUT THE PICTURE.

- I am SUPER proud of how Ling's face is. JUST JUST CANNOT EVEN OMG. It took me F-O-R-E-V-E-R to make his face right. I had to use two different pieces of paper because the first sheet was deteriorating just because of how many times I had to erase! D:
