You smiled. "His name's Alfred Jones.

Matthew's jaw dropped and he stared at you in shock. He took a while, but he finally cried, "Holy crap, you're in love with Alfred?!"

You laughed and then shrugged. "Maybe... I dunno..."

Matthew suddenly lit up with joy. Without even drying his hands, he wrapped you up in a huge hug, saying in delight, "You two are gonna be best friends and then fall in love and get married and have kids! Oh my gosh! I can't wait! Hey, Alfred--!"

You grabbed Matthew by his hand, pulling him back hastily. "Matt, Matt, you can't just tell him I said all that," you insisted, freaking out a little. "It doesn't really work like that. Alfred may not like me, you know?"

"But he kissed you," Matthew said, discouraged. "I don't... get to tell my brother you love him?"

You sighed heavily. Those big pitiful eyes were killing you. Maybe it wouldn't be all that bad... But what if it didn't actually work out, and it was all a waste?

Suddenly, Matthew slipped out of your grip and bounded for the front door, whispering loudly, "Alfred, Alfred, Alfred!"

You didn't try to stop him. Instead, you just laughed uncontrollably. You had to catch your breath when Matthew came running back in, pulling Alfred with him. (bff/n) followed along, curious as to what was going on. She found out the next second, when Matthew cried happily, "Alfred, ____ loves you!"

There was silence.

Then Alfred looked at you, rather suspicious, and asked, "Is.. is he telling the truth?"

You just sort of shrugged. "Um... if love is what I think it is, then... yeah, I'm pretty sure."

(bff/n) gasped. She covered her mouth, trying to hide the insane grin there, and then screamed with joy. Alfred and Matthew winced, but you were used to it. You just smiled. That smile, however, changed to shock when Alfred jumped forward, wrapped you up in arms and kissed you.

It was different this time. It was a little more firm, like he was sure of himself. You didn't know how to respond, so you just copied him, putting your ars around his big body, too. You could feel his lips move in a smile, and you figured out why they did when Alfred lifted you up off of the ground, pulling you even closer.

When (bff/n) dropped you off back home, you told your mother what had happened. She was very suspicious of you falling in love with the "douche" brother, and a little upset that the two of you kissed. She only told you that you needed to be careful of who you spent time with, who you let yourself fall for and that sort of stuff.

In about a week, while visiting your house for a dinner with the family, Alfred very politely asked your mother for permission to date you. You gasped and looked over at him, smiling. Your mother was just as surprised, but very please that he had such manners. She granted the request, and you two got together.

Whenever you two were making lovey-dovey faces or kissing and Matthew was around, he'd giggle and then whisper that he was going to get pictures at some point, that way they could have a lot for the wedding.

The two of you blushed but didn't object or get angry at the sweet brother. And actually, even though a handful of break-ups happened and some problems arose, you and Alfred? You stayed together until after college, at which point Alfred proposed to you in front of a lot of people.

And after accepting, you two barely ever left the presence of the other. You two were married for three years before you decided to have kids. You had four, three girls and a boy. The oldest child, a girl, was named Alice. The boy came next, and Alfred affectionately named him William, after Matthew. Then, the twins came along, Donna and Flora.

You two grew old together, living life to the fullest, hand in hand.
